Internal Bleaching

There are several factors that can discolour teeth. In this blog, we will speak about discolouration due to trauma and how we can treat it. Trauma, such as a sports injury or other impacts/accidents, can reduce the blood flow to the tooth and cause the nerve to die. In turn, this leads the tooth impacted to turn to a greyish or brownish colour. This case below is a perfect example of a traumatic tooth and one way to solve it aesthetically is with internal bleaching.



As you can see in the picture above, the upper right central incisor is severely discoloured compared to the other teeth.



After 2 sessions of bleaching the interior of the teeth with a specific bleaching agent, the tooth has lost its brownish tint and blends with the others.
