Oral implantology

Dr. Cris Piessens is an implantologist with nearly forty years of clinical experience. Following postgraduate training at the ULB in Brussels, he has been placing dental implants since 1987.

His career took him from the Belgian army in Brussels via a private practice in Jette to Portugal, where he developed AlgarveDentalImplants. Annually, he treats four to five hundred implant patients.

His daily practice is exclusively implantology, with special expertise in full mouth rehabilitations using the All-on-4 and All-on-6 technique, also known as “Same Day Teeth”.

Under this protocol, extractions, the removal of sources of infection, implant placement, and fixed provisional teeth are performed in a single day. Extensive bone grafting procedures are often not necessary as a result.

He pays special attention to patients who have been struggling with severe tooth loss or a complex dental situation for years. Comprehensive and clear information about options, benefits, limitations, and alternatives is just as important to him as the treatment itself.

He shares his decades of expertise through courses, workshops, and training programs for colleagues regarding the All-on-X technique.
