Why Nüvodent
Here you feel at ease.
Nüvodent has been a trusted address for dentistry in Antwerp for more than ten years. A dedicated team that strives every day to find ways to offer even better care, whether it concerns a biannual check-up or a specialized treatment. All dental treatments under one roof, supported by specialists from every field. Here you will discover how we work, why we work this way, and what that means for you.
Our story
It started with a simple question.
Why does a patient so often leave the dentist without truly understanding what was found, what was decided, or what comes next?
And why do so few people consider dental care part of their overall health, often waiting until it is too late?
We departed from the conviction that the system itself was missing something. Not because individual dentists were doing it wrong, but because the way care was organized made it difficult to do it right. Patients who were referred to practices they did not know. Specialists who worked independently of one another. And prevention that too often waited for a complaint.
Nüvodent was built as a response to those three things at once. Not as an average group practice that grew, but as something that was designed differently from the outset, with all specialties under one roof, one shared file, and an approach that puts the patient first, even when that takes more time.
What we wanted to do differently
Four choices that determine everything.
Transparency
Every patient deserves to understand what is going on with their teeth, in plain language, without being rushed.
Collaboration
Specialists who work in the same building, read the same file, and know the same patient. That provides better care than a referral letter weeks later.
Prevention first
Waiting until it hurts is not a strategy. That is why we recommend two check-ups a year, with both the dentist and the dental hygienist. Furthermore, a healthy mouth is not separate from the rest of your body: untreated infections in the mouth are linked to cardiovascular disease and brain health, and also play a role in your general well-being. All the more reason to catch it early.
From a young age
A healthy mouth begins in childhood. Our pediatric dentists ensure a familiar first introduction, healthy habits, and explanations tailored to the child. Because good dental care starts with proper guidance and explanation, both with us and at home.
Our vision
Care that puts the patient first, even if it takes more time.
How we treat is a conscious choice. Three principles form the basis of everything we do.
Inform before treating
That is the standard we set for ourselves. We do not start any treatment before you know what is going to happen and why. With modern digital techniques, you can see on the screen what we see, making it immediately clear what is going on. What we find, we explain in plain language. What we advise, we motivate so that you can make a choice and do not have to give permission.
One team, one file
All specialists under one roof work together as a single team. No referrals to unfamiliar practices, no repeating your story. Within that team, we only share the information necessary to treat you well, stored securely and accessible only to the healthcare providers involved in your treatment. This way, everyone works with the same, complete picture across all treatments and locations.
Time determined by work
The time we take for a patient is determined by what is needed, not by an appointment schedule geared toward volume. That is how you make decisions that are right, and leave with a care plan that truly fits you.
Our values
Four values. Visible every day.
Not as a poster on the wall, but as a way of working, in every meeting.
01
Expertise
Specialists who continuously deepen their expertise. Ongoing professional development, learning from one another, and multidisciplinary consultation are not extras; they are part of how we work. Each specialist focuses on what he or she does best. You benefit from that collective whole.
02
Clarity
You never leave with more questions than you had when you came in. What we find, we explain in plain language. What we advise, we justify. And if something is uncertain, we say so, without hiding the fact that it is complex. Do you still have a question or comment afterwards? Besides your dentist, there is always a fixed contact person you can turn to.
03
Impact
A smile is not a clinical result. It is how you feel before you say a word. Every treatment aims to benefit you in a way that is noticeable, visible, and lasting. That is the standard by which we measure our work.
04
Rust
No waiting time without explanation. No treatment without knowing what's coming. The same peace of mind we offer our patients applies internally just as well, for the team that provides your care every day.
Patient experience
Every journey is different. Our approach is not.
Some patients arrive with a clear complaint. Others haven't been to the dentist for years and don't know where to start. Yet others have had a bad experience elsewhere.
Every story is different, and that is precisely why we always start by listening. Only after that do we propose a plan. Nothing is decided or done without you understanding and agreeing to it.
Afraid of the dentist? You are not the only one.
For many people, visiting the dentist is stressful, sometimes due to a bad experience in the past, and sometimes for no clear reason. With us, that feeling is welcome. We take our time, explain every step in advance so there are no surprises, and work with the latest techniques that make a treatment calmer and more pleasant. You dictate the pace and may ask to pause at any time. It is precisely because of this approach that patients who arrive feeling anxious feel at ease here over time.
01
The first visit
We listen to your story, examine your teeth and gums, and, if necessary, draw up a care plan together with you. You will leave with a clear picture of what is going on and what the next step can be. Nothing is done without an explanation.
02
During the treatment
The specialist working with you explains every step. You can ask questions at any time. The pace is set by you, not by the next file waiting.
03
After the treatment
You know what to expect in the hours and days that follow, and who to call if something is not right. Follow-up is not an afterthought, it is part of the treatment.

Your mouth and your health are connected
A healthy mouth is not separate from the rest of your body. Two connections that more and more research is pointing to.
Heart and blood vessels
Inflammations in the mouth, such as persistent gum disease, do not stay neatly inside your mouth. The bacteria and inflammatory substances released in the process are linked to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. Healthy gums are therefore more than just a cosmetic issue.
General well-being
Your oral health also affects how you feel and function: from being able to chew and laugh without inhibition to your self-confidence in company. Research links poor oral health to lower overall well-being, and indicates that men seek help later on average, whereas early intervention makes all the difference.
