When do you call us

These are urgent complaints

Persistent toothache

Throbbing or stabbing pain that does not go away with a regular painkiller, especially in combination with swelling or fever.

Broken or knocked-out tooth

After a fall, a sports accident, or biting down on something hard. Acting quickly increases the chance that the tooth can be saved.

Loose crown or filling

A crown, bridge, or filling that comes loose or falls out, especially if the tooth becomes sensitive to heat, cold, or pressure.

Swelling or abscess

A swollen cheek, swollen gums, or a painful lump: this may indicate an infection that requires treatment.

Bleeding afterwards

A bleeding that does not stop after an extraction or procedure despite applying pressure with a gauze.

Are you having doubts?

Just call us. Together with you, we will assess how urgent your complaint is and when it is best for you to come by.

Awaiting your appointment

What you can do yourself

  • For toothacheTake an ordinary painkiller according to the package leaflet and avoid heat on the cheek. Do not place aspirin on the tooth or gums.
  • In case of a knocked-out toothHold the tooth by the crown, not by the root. Rinse briefly with milk or saline solution and store the tooth in milk. Come by as soon as possible.
  • At a broken pieceStore the piece of tooth in milk and bring it to the appointment.
  • In case of swellingCool the cheek from the outside with a cold compress, fifteen minutes on and off each time.
  • In case of secondary bleedingBite firmly on a rolled-up gauze pad or a clean handkerchief for half an hour and do not rinse.
